It's time to Blog!
The students of divisions 10 and 11 are in the process of building personal blogs using Kid Blog, and are they ever excited!
As part of Writer's Workshop students will explore sharing their writing through blogging. Initially entries will only be visible/open for comment by the classroom teachers, then we will open the pages to classmates, and eventually both Div. 10 and 11 will be able to view/comment on each others posts.
At this time everyone has practiced logging on, they've created avatars, and have designed their page appearance. Some have already created their first practice post. Next up we'll be exploring other blogs, exploring/learning what appropriate/meaningful commenting looks like, and developing criteria for successful blogging.
