Our final Food Science class started with a focus on the children's inquiry into the use of eggshells in the garden. But our last trip to the garden turned into so much more- leading us into a lesson (and read aloud) on bees! Ask your child to share some of their knowledge. The students noticed many bumble bees all over the paths. Together we respectfully and carefully moved them to the safety of the rose garden. It was a touching moment in the school year. Witnessing the teamwork, care and empathy the children displayed was heartwarming.
