Today we welcomed some grade 3's from the Annex into our classroom, and together the students created a Collaborative Circle Painting. With collaboration and teamwork at the heart of this project - students were called to make a circular or soft edged illustration, then move on to make a new design and/or add onto another persons design. The idea is that nobody owns any particular illustration, nobody covers another persons illustration, but everyone adds onto each others illustrations one by one as they move around the table. After making it all the way around the table students get to see what everyone else has done to complete their original design. The painting has been hung up in our classroom, and will be there to welcome Division 10 and the Annex children back in September.
